Affiliated Organizations

Los Ingenieros is the largest Hispanic STEM organization at UCSB, and is part of multiple professional organizations such as SHPE, MAES and MESA. We also collaborate with other professional chapters such as SACNAS and NSBE. Here you can find information on these affiliated organizations!

MAES

With an emphasis on mentorship, advocacy, enrichment, and servant leadership, we host development opportunities for students and professionals alike to share experiences and resources across the United States.

MESA

The MESA University Program is a UCSB undergraduate retention program for first generation college students within STEM field majors.

SACNAS

We proudly represent the National SACNAS Organization, which encourages Chicano, Hispanic, and Native American students, along with students of other ethnic backgrounds, to pursue higher education and assists them in obtaining the advanced degrees necessary for scientific research, industry, leadership, and teaching careers at all levels.

SHPE

SHPE raises awareness, provides access, and prepares Hispanic students and professionals to become leaders in the STEM field. Our members are driving innovation, the global economy, and a prosperous Hispanic community.
